Sketchbooking

Sketchbooking has become a piece of the fabric of my life. My sketchbook, pen, water brush and portable palette have a permanent home in my purse.

My sketchbooks hold treasured moments of my life which otherwise might go by unnoticed, or worse, be overwhelmed by the busy mind. I have discovered that the act of sketching itself, and writing down the words as they arise, has a time stretching effect. The practice anchors me to the moment, makes it more precious, and later fixes that moment in memory in a profound way.
